I have a Roadster and a Rectoverb... I am no longer playing out anymore and don't need all the firepower. Love both amps and have always wanted a Vox AC30 so I am thinking about unloading the ROV to get one. I could quite possibly stay within the Mesa family and go to a TA15 or 30.

Any input?

You try the Electra Dyne? Still a lot of fire power but with el34s might give you the tone your after, especially in 45 watt mode

I currently run my roadster on el34s and the ROV on 6L6s. Wondering if it is worth a switch to a TA

I don't see a reason to have both a Roadster and Rectoverb.

A big part of the AC30 sound is the Celestion Blue speakers... something to consider if you're looking at a TA-15.

Got the ROV for smaller gigs, lugging a Roadster head and 4x12 in road cases was a little for smaller venues. Both are great amps as I said and I run different power sections for home recording now which is nice.
