Just so happy with the MK V.

I had been using it with my GSP 1101, with all the bell's and whistle's. It was great!

But, Sunday I just hooked the 1101 to use the time based efx. Put my Ernie Ball wah out front, then straight into the amp. Oh my!!!!!!!!!

I ended up just using II C+ and rolled off and on the volume and tone on my MM Reflex, with it's 10 different tones. Oh My!!!!

The II C+ has the gain to about 3pm. So, when full up we are talking  but, the way it cleaned up was just spectacular.

Yeah the V is an incredible amp. Glad you're having fun..
Even without outboard gear, It rocks with the power of ten tigers.
Most of the time I use mine dry. (Maybe a wah on the front end) and it's pure tone is enough to rock my world and it rarely fails to impress others tonewise...! It never fails to hang with other gear, regardless of expense and/or quality.. :)

Boogie for life.

Well, because of music style (modern christian worship) there are needs for delay, and such.

I can only imagine what some are thinking... a MKV in II C+ mode for christian music¿¿¿

My Church in not your Grammy's church 8)

I sold my MKIV to another guy here in Mexico who is well known and now everyone is starting to look at Boogie as an amp option.

Boogie is only really known here in the Metal area and that being the Rec's.

My friend is already thinking about buying my MKV!!!!

Ah.

Well not everyone is as judgemental as that. But if you were to look through the the stereotype of 'Christian music' is percieved, I'd say smooth old IIC+ mode makes sense...! :)

You don't know my Grammy's church. :p

Yeah its still strange to me when Dual recs are referred to as Boogies.
Maybe im alone, maybe im not, but I always think of "mesa" when I think of Dual Rec, and tend to associate The Mark design with the Boogie name.
Some folks just like to lump em all in the same basket, I guess.
I had been frowned upon at blues gatherings when I'd bring the amp,(especially with my Gibson V) and they'd see the name 'Boogie' and seem to think "Oh this is just gonna be metal" and the Dual rec tone...until they heard it sing/scream...!

Your friend then has good ears, I'd say.... They're so much fun to play too. The reactiveness and speed/articulation...other amps feel like Im playing with boxing gloves on, by comparison.
