50/50 power amp low power is class A???

Hi mates.
Is the low power mode in the older 50/50 (~15w) class A?
I read in manual description that "providing a searing and bright top end"...
Or it remains an AB class??

It remains in AB class. The low power switch lowers the PI voltage. It's not really a "15W" mode but it affect the power output for sure. Personnaly I don't like this mode on the 50/50.

Yep. But you can love it, depends of your ears !

I like the tone better in full-power mode with the gain turned down than in low power mode. Low power mode just gives more 12ax7 saturation, it doesn't change the power tube operation.
