Hi,

I'm a newcomer on the forum...

I have a triaxis and I search a power amp. I don't know which power amp to buy ? 2:90 or 295 ? I know the simul class 2:90 was built especially for the triaxis with deep, half and modern options...

However I found a simul class 295. Before buy it, I want to know what do you think about this association : triaxis + 295 ?

What's the best power amp with a triaxis ?
How does the 295 sound in comparison the 2:90

Thanks

I would go with the 295, but thats just personal choice.
Both are pretty massive sounding amps.
the 2:90 would give you more options with the Triaxis though.

I feel 2:95 is a sort of hi-fi poweramp... raw power at its best but not everyone would like that in my opinion. Try it (if you can) and decide

I run the TriAxis through a 2:90 and I love the tone. The tone switching in the amp is a pretty cool feature too. I used to run through another power amp and before that, a crappy combo, and there's no comparison. This thing just wails now. It has more power than I'll ever need, and it just has that growl without being harsh. Amazing.

I have had nothing but good results with the 2:90. I was first using a 2/20 dynawatt, but at loud band volumes my cleans would break up. Also the TA seemed very high end, and then with the 2:90 before even using the modules it deepened everyhting. I fine the all 3 very useful for certain modes (1/2 drive. Modern, and deep) :)
