The color is Black Cherry, and it is beautiful. I have a 1998 Jackson SL1 that was custom ordered with that color. Good luck with your sale.

I think the hang tag says it's candy red but I think it looks more like a Rolls Burgandy or a Black Cherry like you mentioned. It's a very "classy" color IMO.
