if you're using a triaxis , triaxis is plenty of bass, on my 2.90 I've never really used deep mode, only modern .
Actually I use gmajor equalizer to take off some bass from triaxis.

I'm using a DigiTech 2120. What I've read about the deep mod, better defined low end and a bit more "chimey" of a top end, is something I'd like to try.

Anyone have any experience with this mod?

Just to clarify, modification, as opposed to mode. Pulling two caps from the circuit seems to be the extent of the modification. I'm looking for info on which caps or components are affected and what results may be expected. Thanks.

Just to clarify it's not a "deep" mod but moreso a mid reduction or linear mod. I like it on my 20/20 but you lose some volume because the mid spike is gone. Join the yahoo group for the triaxis and you will find schematics and pictures.

dude you have equalizer in your 2120,use it and don't mess up with your power amp.
Your power amp is good your pre is the one in need of a modification.
Sell it and buy a better pre. JMP-1 as an example , TRIAXIS you'll be in heaven
