Hey guys, I'm considering buying a 2 ch Rev G rectifier, I found on eBay, but I read here something about the current not 'just working with an adapter' if used for the european electricity system.
Do I need to freakin mod the power cord to fit the outlet in europe, or do I need a transformer, or hows it all working? :|

Welcome to the forum.

If you are buying the amp from the USA you will need to either use an external step-down transformer to match the amp's 120V requirement or replace the internal Power Transformer with the proper one for your country.

alright then...

Is switching the internal power transformer difficult? (and expensive?)

And any idea how pricey those external ones are?
Thanks again!

It isn't difficult if you have solid electronics experience. The 240V PT couldn't be more than $100-$150. If it is too pricey, get one made from Antek Transformers. Changing it would be wire for wire except for the two "Mains" wires and there are schematics around showing how to hook it up for the export models.
