I have mine dialed in the way I like it, I'm just not good at finding other sounds such as super high gain shred tones or great rhythm tones. My settings are:

Presence-11:00
Bass-11:00
Mid-2:00
Treb-11:00
Gain-2:00

I'm trying to stay away from the ultra harsh highs. The KT77's help with that a little. I just want some other settings to go off of from experienced tube amp owners. I've only owned one for like 2 months and aren't sure how to tweak them fully yet. I used to be a modeling amp owner for years and FINALLY went tube.

I have very similar settings (almost identical) on my 3 channel....

IMO, the is the grail tone in the amp....heavy, in your face, but finally one that has the harsh treble dialed out. No fizzy, over-biting treble....but the high end is still there! Only much nicer :D !

Actually ive found that..

Pressence - 2 O'clock
Master - 10 O'clock
Gain - 1 O'clock
Bass - 12 O'clock
Mids - 9 O'clock
Treble - 3 O'clock

these sound great when you actually open the amp up.. say the OVERALL master at like 1 or 2 O'clock. You start to get speaker movement to make up for the lack of gain... then not only do you get the CHUG CHUG we heavier players love but you still get a CLEAR sound. Very chimey top end that rolls off really easy. try these out and tell me what you think.

People please share some more settings... the database settings are kinda getting old!

Sistine35, I won't be able to practice again for a few days, but when I do, I'll try those settings and let you know what I thought. By the way, is the treble to biting and harsh set with the treble and presence knobs so high? Just curious, but I'll try it. Thanks.

People, post more settings!!!!
