If you've found a way to use your G-Major with your 2 channel DR, can you share your settings?
Amp Send Level and G-Major inputs/outputs?

I seem to have found the so-called "Happy Spot" on my Tremoverb, but it still sucks tone like a mother!

Here are my settings:
Amp - Send Level maxed (otherwise it just doesn't have any output on the Loop Active Master)
Amp - Loop is Series now, no more Mix pot

G - In at 8:30
G - Out at 1:30
G - Global In -4db
G - Global Out 0db

Basically, I can match the channel volumes to the Loop Active Master volumes, but it really sucks!
I have to keep the channel volume super low on the clean channel, 9:00 or so. It doesn't sound very good this way.
If I need more volume (and want to have the Loop bypassed most of the time), then I have to adjust the G-Major, the Channel Volume and the Loop Active Master.

How can one of their best sounding amps have one of the suckiest Loops?????

Are you sure the loop is working right, or there isn't some sort of other weird interaction with the G-Major? I don't need to have the Send level anywhere near fully up to get a good level with the Loop Active Master. I assume you've tried it with a plain cable in the loop to check!

I don't find the loop a problem at all - in fact it seems to work well. I haven't even modded it to series and it's still fine, although I'm not running any digitized-dry effects in the loop.

Well, I think that using the G-Major is my problem.
I really like it with my DC-10 though!

All I really want is delay, chorus, flange and maybe a bit of phase. Although the GEQ on the G-Major will come in very handy for a solo boost on the T-Verb.

I really love having only 1 thing on the ground with only 1 cable going to it. So.....I'm gonna have to either make the loop more user friendly or go back to using the DC!
