I just spoke with a helpful Mesaboogie specialist and I would like to hear from other Triaxis owners if they have similar problem.

When I purchased the unit in 1993, I've noticed that my triaxis' RHY mode (preset #4-6) are quite unnoticeable (low volume) in compared to other modes. At that time, I did not know what to make of it.

My solution (aside from raising Gain or Master, which was not enough) was to raise the Lead 1 Drive and the volume and sustain did go up tremendously. I told Boogie's specialist and he told me this was not suppose to happen--LD1 should not have any influence on RHY modes.

Have you of you guys had the same experience-- low RHY volume and had to use Lead 1 Drive to pump it up?

Thanks for you help,
Jim

your triaxis is not working properly.
maybe the ldr 15, 16 or 17 are not working good or maybe the analog multiplexer or maybe the z80 are not decoding the instructions from eprom well.
your triaxis needs to be repaired

I opened up my top lid yesterday, and i found one component with black mark.Like a burn mark..U know black soot...Dont know wat the component is.8 of them in a row.Light brown in color.Seated right below the TX4 board.

Sorry it took a while to get back at this post.

Okay, I will email you regarding the pics.

In the meanwhile, even with this defect, I am still able to play. (sigh, sometimes, I can't even tell if I'm actually listening to the intended tone set forth by Mesaboogie. Hopefully I can locate some website that has some sound samples/ Fender Strat).

Oh, btw, is the undocumented soft reset for Triaxis the follow?

push ENTER and then ARROW-LEFT (under Program/Channel).

Thanks,
Jim
