Whats up in Boogie land? I have a 1990 MKIII 150 or 180 watt head for sale.It has a couple of nicks in the tolex that I repaired and it looks and sounds killer.Just retubed with all mesa tubes (210.00) and they have less than 1 hour play time on them. The head is really clean 8.5-9.0 out of 10 Tolex is black and it is a blue stripe. This thing sounds incredable and the lead channel rivals the II-C+ all day.1050.00 shipped is the price.I am trying to figure out how to post pix,as soon as I do I will put them up or send a link. Thanx, Boogie-man

Its got EQ,Simul and reverb and is a blue stripe. I have a 2-c+ and a purple stripe MKIII combo,so I have a pretty good idea how close it is is tone to a C+ since I have been using Boogies exclusively since 1983(yes,I know I am an old schooler LOL)

Yes I did, and drove down and picked it up.I have a chance to pick up another piece of gear that I want so that is the reason I am parting with it.Other than my rack system,I am going to try and stay with combos. This was the first one of these that I have owned and by far, its the loudest thing on earth and sounds killer through my 2x12 EV loaded half back. When I got it,I cleaned it inside and out and retubed it as the tube were probably close to 10 years old by there markings and it looks almost new.I hate to part with it,but the only other piece I have that I would part with is a 1983 IIB short head with no eq or reverb. And right now the MKIII would get me closer to the money I need

Thanx GTS,I will have to admit that the coliseum is a different animal to the 100 watter.I had a blue stripe long chassis head a few years ago,and I wouldn't touch the C+ lead.If the coliseum had a week point,it would have to be the crunch rhythm channel, but a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive is the perfect match for this channel as it gives it just what it needs to thicken and crunch it up.The lead channel is insane and the clean, well it don't get no better as it rings like a bell with those 4 6L6's and 2 EL34's glowing. No offence taken at all.I just didn't want anyone thinking that I was just trying to sell something. But if you know of anyone with an 80's 1x12 vinel combo cover that they want to sell.I need one for my C+. I also need the knob for the euro transformer,I think it is a bakelite knob. Thanks

Did you buy this from a guy named Alan that lives in Opelika, Alabama?
Sorry the head is not a keeper for you. I can forward you some contacts of people who were interested in the amp before you bought it from me. :D

Hi Alan, I wish I could keep it,but I have a chance to buy another combo and something has to go to get it(you know how it is)a vicious cycle(man,I wish I was wealthy LOL) then my basement would be running over with Boogies and LP's.Any help you could give I would appriciate it.If my 2B was as popular as the III, I would sell it and keep the III for sure.

damnn it //i want it if i can ditch this tsl100 i have :( its 180 watts right? i would love to crank that mfer

Yes, Its 180 watts of pure Boogie. When you look in the back of the amp when it is cooking,It looks as if the Tone Gods are having a candlelight dinner in a china house. This is one beast of an amp.
