12ax7lps vs. tungsol

anybody compare these?... i have and noticed the lps has more clairty and brighter. the tunsol seem's to have a little more saturation and some fuzz i notice while playing on the top strings. i keep a lps in v1 followed by tungsol and chinese in v3,v4. some say that phase inverter has little effect on tone but have to disagree. going between a tungsol and lps in this position has a very noticable difference to my ears.. i think the tungsol has a little more gain as well. i wish i could run a different tube in v3,v4 but everytime i run a russian tube in those spots i have trouble (cathode position).

What amp, and are you talking new or vintage Tung-Sols?

sorry forgot that info.. 96 dual recto and new tungsols not vintage.

PI for sure influence tone. I like to put a Ei 12ax7 in that position for clarity and brightness.
