    6V6s in a Mark V

Any one know whether 6V6s can be used as power tubes in the new Mark V like they could in the Mark IV in Tweed mode?

    Removing Fan from 2:90

Agreed re placement in separate rooms but in many small studio environments in NYC this is not possible. The fan is an original issue from 1992 so perhaps there are quieter substitutes. That, with an on/off toggle switch, might be the best bet.

    Removing Fan from 2:90

I am concerned about heat. I wonder what is the maximum "safe" temperature. In any event, the amp is not much use to me in the studio without being able to at least turn the fan off. I wonder whether overheating (at whatever temp that occurs) simply reduces tube life or could damage the amp...

    Yellowjackets in a 2:90?

I am considering 4 Yellowjackets with EL-84s on one side and 6L6s on the other so I can mix the sound of each to taste. Any danger in doing this or do I need to replace all tubes with Yellowjackets?
