If you have an actual mesa box,that's the best bet. Ive used the same mesa box to send a mkiic+ and a coliseum to them..The box is already form fitted with foam and they actuality pack the head upside down. I also wrap the power tubes with bubble wrap and tape it all in.

OP: if you can,own each- a red and a blue. I run mine together with an a/b box into thier own cabs and when you kick both in at the same time,it's a tone from God himself. It's awesome.

As a long time mkiii user I agree with these guys, Either buy a red,or send back to Mike b himself.

O.p.: if you really want to get in deep,if you look in these mesa catalogs ( 1 only has a roster list of players), there are hundreds of major artists' pics of thier mesa rigs.Bass & guitar users. Back in the day I collected boogie literature. These catalogs,price lists,press releases, etc...

This was a year earlier I believe, on the IGWT tour.Pretty serious and impressive stage,w/ a ton of boogie cabs,all front grill era.

Those amps in your reply would certainly do modern country and they could do old school too. Not into the current rap/ pop/ bubblegum top 40 tweener sampled country stuff. I've shared the big stage with many headliners from the 90s,early 00 yrs. I've never seen 1 boogie except Charlie...

^^^^^ I'm a big fan of running two amp heads and cabs together. If I'm running 2 of the same heads I purposely set them a bit different so they tonally compliment each other in a mix. My question is: on 2 mkvii's, are you going to run same tubes on both or different tubes( or colors)?

Isolation and grounds are always big issues in these, even phase sometimes. Here's this other company ( no longer in oper.) that was making an improved version of the mesa.I liked what I saw there.

O.p. Yours actually does a lot more than my ol discontinued mesa amp switcher..( which it's title was always a bit misleading). And at least on my version,I never liked if you didn't have at 1 input selected,you had no pass thru sound at all. There was a company some years ago that was taking...

Looking at mkiib fs with serial # 7617. Does anyone know if that's a late enough # to have the RP9C preamp board? I dnt know if I'll be allowed to open it up to look. As a knowledgeable boogie friend reccomended to me,I'll give it a play thru anyways to see what it's like.
