Mesa boogie head track : Unobtainable product

😂😂😂😂 I went to look up the term *unobtanium*.. It is a beautiful expression that perfectly makes the idea Yes, I know the risks of the product.. It will be an ultra-fast high-cost mechanical switch For a 25/50w resistor Of course the thought is what you risk if the Switch freezes.. it's not nice

The Mark V90, Longest running Mark Series to date

Ciao Hello, I had problems exactly today with the Mark v footswitch. I can tell you after several attempts, that the problem was in the central pin of the dpdt of the eq switch . The track (ground) was no longer in contact. I solved it by creating a bridge with a wire to ground.

    Post your Mark V photos

Yes. The slo circuit is actually simpler and more linear, but the basic sound is the same. Yamaha messed up a bit by adding some crap ( reverb is bad for example)

    Mark IV Pull Pot

Mesa boogie potentiometers are crap (in the case of repair) On my mark v, I would have to spend about 30€ for a push pull potentiometer I solved by buying a normal push pull on ebay, after which I modified the thread by mounting on the threaded male part of a 6.3mm Jack (the silver part that...

Strange hum noise for 1 second when I turn on my Mark v

10 years mine too.. Here in Italy the assistance is a bit of crap They are external and take money from mesa boogie, add unnecessary work to top up the refund. I preferred to change a potentiometer myself rather than send it to them .

Strange hum noise for 1 second when I turn on my Mark v

As per the title, the first time I turn it on I hear a dull "Humm" noise If I turn off e I turn it back on, this does not happen Probably some sort of capacitor that charges..?

Make sure you have a high gain 12ax7 in the tube that manages the loop

    Mark V intermittent Noise issue

Switching in that brutal way from 10w to 9o w and again back, is not never a good thing. However, looking to your video, it could be a Cold welding, that after some little time start to make good contact thanks thermal expansion. Otherwise a capacitor that is going to better life
