    Mark IV problem

I have a mid 90's Mark IV rev B that I've had since around 2014, I had it serviced by Mesa in dec 2021, but I have a problem with channel 1. The problem is I get very little break-up out of the channel. I literally gotta push it with EMG's and bring the master up to at least 4 to get any kinda...

Problem switching channels on Mark IV

I just got my Mark IV out of the pawn shop, It was in there for at least 6 months. So now my amp is stuck on channel one, it bumps up in volume when i switch to rythym 2 but that is it...it does nothing when switching to channel 3 and does nothing with the footswitch. I'm stumped???

Is my Mark IV a A or B revision??

How do I tell?? I just got it off ebay and the amp sounds excellent, I love it. I doubt it really matters much, but I'm just curious about it's age and want to know if it's a IVa or IVb?? what are the defining characteristics? The serial #: IV-007978

To buy a Mark V or not?? want raw, open doomy metal sound...

I'm thinking of getting the big Mark V because of the versatility, and because I want a unique sound. I have some concerns though?? Will this amp be able to get a raw, kinda doomy rock/metal sound without sounding too compressed and polished sounding?? Think Down - nola, or kinda similar...

How do i identify a 105 transformer in my Mark III?

I have a red stripe Mark III simulclass, from '87. I have heard that a few amps from this time have the Mark iiC+ transformer, but how do i figure this out? and which transformer am i looking at, the one on the left side of the amp, or right??

    Mark III simulclass (red-stripe) revelation

I've tried numerous tubes, after tubes after tubes without being content (something in the tone always bothered me, too little lows, too much presence, too muddy), and then finally today i decided to go back to my stock Mesa 12ax7-a's, and not so stock but older SED winged =C=nd there's my tone...

    Mark III noisy lead channel

I had my amp serviced not too long ago, a few months ago... and just recently i've noticed the lead channel is pretty hissy/noisy, and i don't think it was that noisy before, even with high gain settings?? What do you think could be wrong? The clean and R2 is fine.

How loud do you set your Mark's for a gig?

What are your Master and Lead Master settings? I usually set my Mark III (simul-class) with the Master at 4 and the lead master at about 3 for a show, and it's more than loud enough... sometimes too loud. I don't use the cleans.

    Mark III keeps blowing fuses

OK, so there is something wrong with my amp. As soon as i take it off standby the amp dies and the fuse is taken out. I thought it might be the power tubes so i got new ones, put them in, fired it up and the same thing is happening... i'm really frustrated with this thing. I can't really afford...

    My Mark III died...

Was playing at a decent volume for about 15 mins and all of a sudden it had a huge volume drop...the amp is extremely weak now... there's next to no volume in any of the channels, just a really weak signal. I changed the power tubes and pre-amp tubes, tried a patch cable through the effects...

    Mark III hum problem??

Just got this head in today (simul-class, red stripe) and it sounds great, but i'm getting some hum out of the lead channel, which gets worse with more gain and volume. I tried some different pre-amp tubes in all positions, but they made no real difference...?? tried the ground switch, same...
