6V6's in a Lonestar classic, is it posible?

I am getting ready to do this myself, so I'll keep you posted (gimme a couple of weeks). But my understanding is that you're supposed to keep the amp in tweed mode with 6V6s. I assume the consequences of going with full power are basically that the tubes won't last long. I also understand that...

    Should I, could I "ruin" my IIC+ with Re-verb?

Hey Jerseydew, I was thinking the same thing, just not worth the chance that it might be damaged. So the quetion now is...... which reverb? I have seen a couple of votes for the holy grail, one for the G-system (TC has great stuff, I have experienced it as post effects) Expensive! and one vote...

    Should I, could I "ruin" my IIC+ with Re-verb?

but another question, do you have five 12ax7's in your amp? No, only 4 I think I'll call boogie just to see what it would cost just for a laugh Anybody got an opinion as to how it would affect value positive or negative?

    Should I, could I "ruin" my IIC+ with Re-verb?

So I just bought a IIC+ 60w with export, EQ, and EV ( an SGX ?) but no re-verb! I paid $2400 (high I know) just to keep everyone updated on the market. My questions now are 1. Is it possible to add re-verb? The holes are the for the pot and the tube 2. How would this effect the value...

    IIC+ Values/Prices

Thanks again to all who helped/gave opinions. I am now the new proud owner of 1396X (I see that not giving the last number is customary on this board. probably due to fraud issues. Any thoughts?) After reading boogibabies excellent IIC+ for dummies imagine how stoked I was to see the intitials...

6V6's in a Lonestar classic, is it posible?

Hi everyone, I had a couple of question about 6v6 in a lone star as I have the chance to pick one up cheap, but the 50/100w is just too much for too many reasons. so i would like to hear about your experiences. 1.who of you have tried 6V6's in their lone star and with what results 2. what...

    IIC+ Values/Prices

Thanks again guy's, I feel a lot better about buying this amp. It's funny I own a couple amps w/o reverb (brown deluxe, tiny terror, pro jr) and love them, but feel strange buying a boogie w/o it. Based on the feedback here there seems to be no problem selling an amp w/o rev. I do like having it...

    IIC+ Values/Prices

Thanks for the help guy's, great link dodger thanks! My gut feeling was confirmed. The guy knows what he has and wants a premium, guess I can't blame him. No one likes to pay too much (even a little) but since I'll be holding on to it (AND PLAYING/ENJOYING IT!) it's not so much an issue. I'll...

    IIC+ Values/Prices

Hi everybody, I'm new to the "board", but been a boogie lover for years. I got my first (Mk IIA w/fetron) back in 95. actually ever since my buddy got his Mk III in 86. Anyway it is time to re-start my collection and am considering a MkIIC+ and am wondering if it is overpriced. It is a 1x12...
