My problem is that although I love the dirt sound and I love the clean sound, switching dynamically between the two is terrible. There is an audible 'lag' or delay in switching channels on the amp (Single Rec Solo 50 head) which makes a sudden change from clean to dirty (or vice versa)...

that did occur to me but I wouldn't have thought that dropping the amp would have affected the fuse?

no haven't called mesa as I bought the amp second hand and i didn't think they'd help cos of that. i may try and look for a tech in london to try and get it fixed, altho i used it with my boss overdrive at the weekends and it sounded really good. a lot more natural when turning that on and off...
