    Need help with markII identification

Could someone tell me where to find the serial number on the amp? I always thought I had a mkIIB, but the dates and knobs point to a mkIIC. Amp was deliverd in October of 1983, and had the all black larger knobs. I may be selling mine and there appears to be a huge difference in resale...

    Boogie Mark IIB lead sound

I have had my MKIIB since 1983 (original owner) and the amp will do what you are looking for. It has also been very reliable. It sounds much fuller as your turn it up and get the power tubes cooking and the speaker moving a bit. It sounds nice at lower volumes as well, but can sound a bit...

    tubes for a MKIIB

Thanks, the amp has been so reliable I cant remember the last time it was in for a checkup. I did talk to Mesa a number of years ago and they did say if the pre-amp tubes are not microphonic dont change them or there is a possiblility of making things worse. The bass response of the amp is not...

    tubes for a MKIIB

I am the original owner of a MKIIB, and it has been a very reliable and toneful amp. The amp is 23 years old now and I havent replaced the pre-amp tubes in all that time as Mesa said that if the tube doesnt give you trouble it is ok. The power tubes are about 5 years old but are low mileage...

    value of MKIIB

The sad time has come to sell my mesa boogie after buying it in 1983. I just dont need the power anymore and it is too heavy to lift with my back problems. I have a 60w w/reverb and black shadow speaker in cream. I also have a 1x12 extention with same black shadow speaker. The amp is in EX+...

    Mark IIB knobs

I have a MKIIB with all black knobs as well. I am the original owner and it was shipped in October of 1983. Great amp! I never had it fail on me, and it actually has the original pre amp tubes in it. My only complaint is it is now too heavy for me to pick up, so it sits at home.
