    Tubescreamers and Humbucking Pickups

I've read many articles saying tubescreamers and humbuckers don't go well together. However, some players say that their tubescreamer sounds great with their humbucking equipped guitar. What do you think? Why the varied responses?

    6V6's In A Mark 1 Reissue Combo

Eddie from Eurotubes had some good advice. I'll post his response here for everyone who uses this configuration. Hi Mark, The tweed setting does indeed drop the plate voltage. We haven't had chance to measure the plate voltage with a set of 6V6's running in bold mode but my guess would be...

    6V6's In A Mark 1 Reissue Combo

I'm thinking of going back to using JJ 6V6's in my Mark 1 Reissue combo... Anybody have...

Speaker Suggestions For Mark 1 Reissue Combo

Okay Boogie People, I need some advice from you... For the past few years I've been using a Celestion V30 (traded the original C90 for it) in my Mark 1 Reissue combo (amp set to 60 watts). Lately I've been thinking of restoring it back to it's former glory...that is install a higher wattage...

Super glue on fingers and playing guitar

I just wanted to apologize to everyone for my previous little rant. It wasn't directed to anyone in particular.

Super glue on fingers and playing guitar

It just makes me laugh what all of the Stevie Ray Vaughn-a-bees will do to sound like him. I swear that if a rumour was started that SRV ate a puppy before each gig that hundreds of pretenders would start chowing down on Fido before they played. SRV was a unique talent and we are all the better...

Super glue on fingers and playing guitar

To add to my previous post... The condition SRV occasionally suffered from is called a nail split. It's when the underside of the nail separates from the skin. I get them sometimes when I've just trimmed my nails and I have to do something like remove a key from a key ring.

Super glue on fingers and playing guitar

SRV used superglue to glue his nail(s) back to his fingers...not put glue on his fingertips. His fingernail(s) would partially lift from his finger and to temporarily solve the problem he would glue it back. Not medically approved but I guess it solved the problem.

    tube noob

The link that jackieTHEjokeman posted had a lot of good information but they sure hate The Tube Store. I've ordered tubes from The Tube Store many times and have always been very satified with their service and tube suggestions.
