I am interested in selling my Mark V 90 watt head as I have not been playing guitar much and I want to downsize to a small practice amp. It is in excellent condition, and has low hours on the tubes. Looking to get $1,200.00 plus shipping. Please PM me if you are interested. Thanks

    Mark v no sound help!

After several months I finally got my mark v back! It had to be sent back to Mesa to be fixed. The board had to be removed and several components replaced. The final bill was $260.00. That included new power tubes and shipping to and from upstate New York. I was sure the cost was going to be...

    Mark v no sound help!

I am going to try pulling the rectifier tube. If that doesn’t work, I’ll be dropping it off at the local Mesa Dealer. I’ll be sure to follow up here with the results. Thanks

    Mark v no sound help!

Fuse is fine and the amp powers up as normal. Just no sound at all. As if the amp is in standby. Have tried all power modes, etc. If I power down without putting back in standby I get a small pop through the speakers, otherwise there is no sound at all from the speakers. Dead silence.

    Mark V different versions?

The manual was definitely changed at some point. I don't know if mine is the newer version of the manual or the older version.

    Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'

I'm officially a believer! I put a Jan/Phillips 12at7 in the V4 position and ....wow! Channel 3 on Mark IV, 45 watts(variac), in Triode is just pure heaven. This is the heavy Mark tone I've been looking for. With a moderate V (nothing boosted or cut more than half way)on the EQ and the mids...

    Mark V different versions?

I have been looking around the site for all kinds of information and it has been very helpful for dialing in my Mark V. In another topic someone posted the tube layout of the Mark V, but when I look at Page 62 of my owners manual the tube layout is different. Are there different versions of...

New Mark V: Loud Channel Switching Noise in 10 Watt Mode

If you change from one channel in 10 watt mode to another channel that is in 45 or 90 watt mode you will get a pop. It should be quiet if every channel is in 10 watt mode. This is outlined in the manual.

Mesa Mark V head w/EL-34's for sale or trade for multi-watt

Yes, it is a head. Never left my basement since I've had it. I am the 2nd owner, I believe it is a 2009. Loaded with JJ E34L power tubes. A tung sol reissue in V1 and a Mullard CV4024 in the phase inverter position. It's a great combination. I am just looking for something different at this...

    Gain control on a DC-5

If your looking for lower gain sounds, try pulling the gain knob on channel one. Channel 2 is a high gain channel, pulling the gain on channel 1 is for sounds between clean and high gain.

    Hi All, Warning; nOOb Here

Here are a couple of ideas to get rid of the muddy tone. 1) turn your bass down. With that much gain your bass should be between 8:00 and 11:00. 2) put a Tungsol 12ax7 in V1, works wonders on the Roadster

    FS- Roadster Head

Since my daughter was born almost 2 years ago I have only used my Roadster a couple of times. It is just too much amp for me. It is in excellent condition and comes with the foot switch and covers. The amp is loaded with a Tungsol reissue in V1 and a Mullard CV4024 in the phase inverter...

The caps were replaced in that amp a few years ago. :D

Time for new tubes in my DC-5. Need some help

I never had an issue with an unfocused bottom with that amp so I'd guess it's definitely time for power tubes. I used JJ 6L6's a couple of times with fine results. To be honest I never noticed a much of a difference between them and the Mesa tubes. The big difference is a fresh set vs a worn...

JJ E34Ls in my 3ch DR - YES!

I totally agree. I put the JJ E34L's in my Roadster and couldn't be happier. Plenty of low end with a huge midrange. I wasn't going for a Marshall sound at all. I wanted to tame the low end a little and make the mids nastier. These tubes did the trick for sure. I also put a Tungsol in V1 and...
