I tried the TA-15 along side the Lone Star Classic - The LSC was the same if not noiser. So I think it is just the way it is. I also now realise that it was probably unfair of me to compare the TA-15 (whose valves operate in class A) against a Fender amp (whose valves operate in class AB).

Not much point in an fx loop in an amp that you are using to get power tube breakup! The usual fx rules work with this amp. Wah, Overdrive, Phasers work fine into the front of the amp. You can have a touch of delay on the dirty tones but anything more sounds bad and muddy to my ears. If...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try cranking the clean volume and see if the reverb becomes more apparent. I'm loving everything else on the Nomad and if I can get the reverb sounding right then I think I have a keeper :-)
