    Compact vs regular 212 horizontal rectifier cabinet

    Oversized = more deep low end + bigger sounding + less tightness However my rectifier 212 is tight enough even for high gain metal rhythm. If I were you I'll take it over the compact version for sure - unless you want a relatively slightly boxier tone :D

From my personal experience, you have to get a clean tone in order to make the tuner output function work properly, preferably using the clean mode or the fat mode where the gain is low and the tone is not distorted. Also, if you use a high output pickup, turn the knob on...
