I have hesitated to comment in this thread because I am a bit divided on this amp. My first "real" amplifier was a Mark IV, and it's easy to get spoiled when you have three foot switchable channels. It's also easy to start feeling like you can't live without all three of them just a footswitch...

Thanks for the info Elvis. I am in the market for a Mini Rectifier, and your info on the Mini Rectoverb has been helpful. I was thinking of stepping up to the ROV, but I think the standard Mini Recto head will do fine for what I need.

Happy new amp day!! It's nice to read all this love for the Mark IV. I've had mine for over 15 years, and considered selling it when I played a Mark V (mainly because of the improved Crunch channel). I still feel like the Crunch channel on the Mark IV is not very useful, but I love the Lead...
