    Looking for Stiletto gut pictures

Hey Guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out here.... I bought a used Stiletto and pulled the chassis to check it out. It appears to have had a power tube socket replaced due to a power tube that arced, and in the process of the repair, one of the wires wasn't resoldered to the circuit board...

    Recto question....

Does anyone know if the 3 channel dual rectos are still the same revision as when they first came out 8 or 9 years ago? Or have then gone through some circuit revisions like the 2 channels? Also, I haven't been able to directly compare a 2 channel to a 3 channel at the same time, but it seems...

    replacing pots in my recto

Dude, just call Boogie and ask for Customer Service. Tell them what amp you have and what pots need to be replaced. (i.e. red channel gain and treble pot, or whatever.) They'll look up the part numbers and send you the correct parts. The pots are about $1.55 each plus shipping

    New Recto Day!

Hey Fluff, let us know how the two amps compare in terms of sounds. I'd be curious to get someone else's opinion.

    what is different?

Define "brutal". What exactly does that mean? Less bite but more low mids? Or...? I see people throw these terms around which, to me, are quite vague because they can mean different things to different people.

LOUD pop when switching channels on my Dual Recto!

Is this popping you guys refer to apparent on all 3 channel DR's? Or more apparent in the latest ones? Thanks.

    Are Mesa V30's somehow different?

Yeah, I called Mesa today. They said they are still using their special UK-made V30's and haven't changed. They said if I order a cab today it would have the same speakers as one built several years ago.

    Are Mesa V30's somehow different?

when did Mesa stop using their 70w special V30? Also, what would most of you say is the sound difference is between the previous 70w version and the standard 60w V30 they are using now? (For example, comparing a new stiletto cab w/ 60w V30's and an older Mesa Traditional (Stiletto) with 70w...

Channel comparison on older two channel Dual Rectifier

Well, I know that when you switch the red channel to Vintage, the presence knob from the orange channel kicks in, and the Presence knob on the Red channel is not a tradition presence control but affects the tone stack. Actually, looking at the schematic now, it appears the treble caps in the...

Channel comparison on older two channel Dual Rectifier

Do you guys have a hard time getting the same tone out of the Red and Orange Channels? My favorite tone is the Red channel set to vintage. It's got a great aggressive, punchy sound. When I try to dial in the same tone on the Orange vintage channel, I can get sort of close, but the orange...

    Are Mesa V30's somehow different?

Here's what prompted my initial question... Comparing four different 4x12's recently, two Bogner, one Marshall, and a Mesa Traditional (Stilletto), all containing V30's, the Mesa cab sounded more unique than the others. The Mesa cab is more mid focussed, with slightly rolled off highs and lows...

    Are Mesa V30's somehow different?

I'm just curious if the V30's Mesa uses are somehow different from those used in Marshall cabs, or available direct from Celestion? Thanks.

What year is my Dual Rectifier

Best way to know for sure is pull the chassis and look at the date written on the circuit board.
