I swapped all the preamp tubes, and still the same thing.

I've made sure that the R2 is pushed in. I also plugged the one button footswitch into the front footswitch input on the amp, and it goes from clean R1 to lead, but the lead still has very little gain.

I have the lead gain at 8, I've had it at all settings and there is still no high gain. I just get another crunch tone instead of a high gain tone.

Sometimes I hook my mark IV into a thd hotplate then use the hotplates line out into a vht 2:90:2 power amp. Is there a way I can hook the mark IV into the vht without having to use the thd though? I see a slave input and there is a recording out as well. Can the recording out act as a line out...

My boogie 2:50 power amp had a tube wear out in it. Can I used the mesa boogie tubes from my mark IV in the 2:50? I have some JJ's that were matched for the 2:50 and Bob at eurotubes said they would work with the mark IV just fine, so I'm wondering if this is the same for the mesa tubes?

Well, I talked to Ted and I ended up ordering two high powered speakers. A chigaco and a california. They seem very similar, both warm and dark it seems. Anywho, thanks for the weber suggestion. I'll let you guyz know how it works out when I get them in.
