Need help on buying first Mesa...

Sadly no. I lost my job, the business closed and am currently looking for a new job. Also, found out that the value of the 6505 amps has gone down recently. Had to drop my asking price of around $625 to $550. Still havn't sold that amp. Once I sell this amp, find a job, and sell some crap I...

    Mark IV Triode problem

Thank you :) AS FOR THE TRIODE PROBLEM... I got a call back from Boogie today while in class. He briefly said he hadn't heard of anything like this. Its not common. But he doesnt imagine it being an expensive repair. Repair cost is usually $100/hour. Hes not sure how many hours it would...

    Mark IV Triode problem

Thanks for the info of the Mark IV's :) Ive moved on from the damaged one. I found one for a pretty good price. Its barely out of my pricerange so Im trying to see if the guy can drop it just a small bit. I returned my Randall RM100C to guitar center yesterday and got my $530 back. Now I need...

    Mark IV Triode problem

Allright thanks. Im gonna do the right thing and keep on waiting  It seems as though Mark IV combos are only going for a little bit more than Mark III's. I think Im just going to save up for another IV. Thanks for the help :) ALSO. Are there many tonal differences between the...

    Mark IV Triode problem

Allrighty, Will do. If you were in my position, would you just go through with it for the $815 and save up for a bit to pay for the repair? If everything else works besides that I think I should be fine for a while. Just looking for more opinions to help sway me towards the better decision :)

WTB: Mesa Mark III or IV for the right price!

I just found a Mark IV for $950 in very nice condition. I had another guy offer me his Mark IV for $1050 plus shipping. And then Ive had others who ask for $1900 in complete sh** condition just cause its a Mark IV. I hope you see what im getting at.

WTB: Mesa Mark III or IV for the right price!

Maby you misunderstood my post. $700 is a very good price for the Mark III. The thing is, Ive had people offer me their Mark III's in worst condition than the one that sold for $700, trying to sell it for $1300. What Im getting at is that a lot of people tend to be rather greedy with the...

    Mark IV Triode problem

Hello all. Im looking into buying a Mark IV combo for a nice price. Its in great condition besides the fact that when you switch it to Triode mode, all you hear is a hum and no guitar signal goes through. Is this a major problem? Is it a common problem people have with these amps? If its...

Need help on buying first Mesa...

Almost got a Mark IV but then it sold :( It only made sense for the guy to go through with the other interested party since his offer was much better than mine. Found another Mark IV for a VERY nice price. Trying to talk the guy down about $25 to compensate a bit on shipping, then take a...

Still looking to buy my first Boogie!

Wow. Yea my MAX spending is abour $1100. I dont want to go that high though. Id like to stay around $850-950. Id really like a combo though. The rack setup was sort of an idea but the more I think about it, the more it daunts me... Thank you both for your input :)

Still looking to buy my first Boogie!

If you all have read my last post, you already know that I love the tones you can get from the Mesa Mark III's and IV's. Problem is, they seem to be a bit out of my pricerange. Ive never considered a rack setup until now. I found a Studio Preamp for $500. Is this a fair price? Also, on average...
