The way it is wired is mono or stereo - in not sure if it's parallel or series, but as you mention it would be very strange if it was series. My main concern is if I plug either the mono side or the stereo side into the 8ohm jack on my amp, I'll be safe, right?

Ok, So I just recently picked up a Road King 2x12 cab. I play a Mark V, and so there is 2 8 ohm jacks and 2 4 ohm jacks on the back to plug into. Normally, based on a stock RK cab this would be a no brainer on where to plug in, but the guy I got it from replaced both speakers with 16 ohm...
