buying a roadcase for Mark V

I like this design because of a few reasons: 1) the case has two handles making it easier to transport (not having to carry with one arm) - although it does lack the wheel aspect that some cases have but I think for setting up on a single cab no wheels would be ideal 2) the front and back plate...

buying a roadcase for Mark V

hey guys I am going to be hauling my mesa head around all summer and want to invest some money in a small roadcase basically just for my head. I have a used Rectocab that I am not too concerned for but my head is in great shape and I want to keep it that way. I saw online on ebay some head...

Mark V With 2 Recto Cabs?

^^ L. O. L. Yeah I know of Daisychaining. I have decent experience with wiring car audio together but I thought I'd be safe and double check... I'd rather have a 100$ pair of speakers blow versus my 2000$ head/ cabs  I appreciate it guys thanks, Steve

Mark V With 2 Recto Cabs?

Just to clarify... I run 1 of my mark v head's 4ohm outputs into the 8ohm in on the first recto then use the 8ohm out from that same cab into the second cab's 8ohm in? Much appreciated! Steve

Mark V With 2 Recto Cabs?

Hey all, I know this question may have been asked before but I plan on being the only guitarist for my band here soon (for a while at least) and I was going to pick up another used recto cab eventually so I can have (2) 4x12 recto cabs for shows. I believe the primary impedance on the cabs are...

    Rackmount for Mark V

*bump* 100 views I was hoping to get a reply... I was doing some looking for ATA Rack Head combo road cases and I came across this one, fairly inexpensive. http://www.roadcasesusa.com/rack-head-combo-alternative-ata-style-case-fits-many-heads/ What I like about this case is that it...

    Rackmount for Mark V

I'm not sure if this is the correct location for this post so I apologize in advance. I am looking into some sort of rack mount for my gear-to-be shortly. I will be investing in some sort of travel case for my mark V and am in need of a good, reliable case with wheels to travel to local shows...

Thomas Youngblood - Guitarist from Kamelot (Guitar tone?)

Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the correct location for this post but I have been listening to Kamelot alot lately. I have been digging the guitarists tone (Thomas Youngblood). If you havn't heard the guitar, it sounds great in this song off one of their recent albums...

    Which Mesa 4x12?

I have a Recto for my V. I love it. But it is all about preference. I have heard that the stilleto has a more tight end which could be used for certain styles over others. I love my recto for the bottom end. It definitely stands out from my band and I love it. I'm sure if you asked really...

Mark V:Sudden Uncontrollable Feedback & Subtle Ringing Issue

*sorry for the double post* I have been reading up on Mesa's Mark V manual and from what i can gather if it is a power tube then you will have an odd loud amount of feedback that can only be corrected by briefly switching to standby... however this hum/feedback will come back. Mesa's manual...

Mark V:Sudden Uncontrollable Feedback & Subtle Ringing Issue

I too am having a large amount of feedback on the 3rd channel. I'll do the pencil test when I get home today to see if there is a bad tube. Kindof a shame since I just had it in the shop for a blown resistor about 2 months ago :x Thanks for the wisdom

    Odd Mark V feedback clicking?

Hey guys. So i've been playing on my V today and dialed in a new sound to experiment with. About 20 mins ago I noticed a continuous click which occurs about every second or so... I'm not really sure what the noise is or what is causing it... :? I was wondering if anyone has any input for...

    i don't like metal, but.....

I play alot of metal and I love my Mark V. I originally got it to obtain the sounds from Lamb of God's guitarists Mark Morton & Willy Adler. Since i've owned the amp I've been dialing all across the head and realized it has more choices than I've ever seen on another amp. Great clean...

MV Owners: What's Your Power Tube Preferences?

I am currently using the 6L6's from Mesa but I've had an issue with a bad power tube already :? (Blew a resistor) I love the sound of my Mark V but I hope a power tube doesn't go out on me again. Cheers!

    Mark V resistor blowing?

I apologize in advance for the double post. For those who have been following, I got my Mark V put into my name under warranty. The lady told me that the warranty covers manufacture defects and electronics. Do you think this issue would have been covered under warranty (if it were to happen...

    Mark V resistor blowing?

Thanks for the replies guys I really appreciate it. Here is the situation, I purchased the amp over the internet from a music retailer on the East coast (not entirely sure which retailer it was) but the amp was brought in due to the original owner damaged his hands in a bad car accident...

    Mark V resistor blowing?

I just got the amp back yesterday and she plays like a wonder as she did before her inncident. However I am a little skeptical because I don't want it to be a recurring issue (not the original owner of the amp - not sure about the warranty). After the almost 120$ repair I don't want to have it...

    Mesa Mark V-------------Metal

NorCal, I have been using the Mark V for metal for about 6 months. I wanted to get the same tone that lamb of god uses (Mark Morton = Idol) and I love using it. It has soooo many settings (seems like infinitely ways to make any sound for clean/classic/heavysolo) Unless you're comparing it to...
