    Cleaning the mighty DR

There is some good info in this topic. http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=55958 I'm not kidding about the quick interior detailer either... stuff works wonders, as do the armorall cleaning wipes if it's really filthy.

Cab Advice for a Mini Rec

So.... I went and tried out a Mini Rec and came home with it about 2 weeks ago. Crazy how great it sounds. I have it over a Recto 2x12 right now but I'd like to get a 1x12 of some sort. I'm looking for something that will take up less space and something that will allow me to control the...

Mini Rec vs Blackstar HT-5R tone

I have a HT-5R that I use as my practice amp. It is great for that but I'm considering ditching it and getting a mini recto as the blackstar just does not produce the kind of distortion that I'm after. The dirt channel became much more appealing after I changed out the "preamp" tube for a tung...

    Cleaning your amp

I purchased all of my Mesa gear second hand, just like yours it was in great shape but needed a little TLC - at least to be as clean as I wanted it to be. I used this stuff from Meguiars on just about every amp I have ever owned, it works absolute wonders on tolex, leather, badges, plastic...

Add an OD, EQ, or get a voodoo mod for Roadster?

Get yourself an OD pedal before you throw in the towel. I added an OCD to my roadster about a month ago and I could not be happier. I do not own any other OD pedal so I can't comment on how they all sound but the OCD really gave me the kind of tones I was looking for out of channels 3 and 4...

Opinions/Advice on Cabs to go with a Single Rec

Thanks for all the feedback! As fate would have it I came across a deal on a "standard" oversized Recto 2x12 that was too good to pass up - $375 for a mint "used" one. I figured just shy of 400 is way better than just shy of 700 or 1k if I wasn't pleased with the sound and wound up flipping it...

Opinions/Advice on Cabs to go with a Single Rec

Thanks for the reply. To add some more info. I do not plan on playing out with this rig, this is strictly for my little corner of the house that I have for my "stuff" At most it might get moved once or twice a month to a friend's house for a jam session. I'm looking at the 2x12s mostly so...

Opinions/Advice on Cabs to go with a Single Rec

So after a whole bunch of back and forth on what type of head to get I finally decided to get a solo 50 v2. Prior to this I've only played combos though, never bought a cab, never really played through one for a long time. Anyway I need to get a cab to go with this thing. For the sake of...
