    Fan in MKIIB

Thanks so much, i would never have thought about accessing the fan through the front panel. If it's not too much trouble I would really appreciate seeing the photos. Best, paaes335

    Simul-Class or no??

I own a MKII simulclass head built in 83. It came with 4 6L6's and the early MarkIIB literature I have when the simulclass feature was introduced mentions nothing about using el34's in the outer sockets. All of the ad photos from early 80's showing simulclass switch on MKIIB's have 4 6L6's...

    Fan in MKIIB

Looking for some guidance here. I need to replace the colling fan in my 83 MKIIB Simulclass head. I have a new fan ordered from Mesa. Is this something realtively simple to change out on my own or better left to a tech? I can't really see how the fan is attached since tubes, reverb pan etc are...

    Early Mark I Tone- Mahavishnu

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Just the mention of Birds of Fire still brings awe to me. Mark I Question

Many thanks for helping with my question. I also found a good article over the weekend on the Mark I design written by Dave Hunter in a Vintage Guitar mag from 2007. I'll scan it and post when I have a chance. Sad part is, the issue has a cover story on Gary Moore, strange timing.

    Mark I Question

Hi, I'm new to this board, this is such a great resource! Can somebody explain the 3 volume architecture of the Mark I Boogies? I've owned a 77 112 combo and reissue, they were both great amps but definitely had some differences. Seems I could get more gain from the 77 using input 1 than I was...
