    Simul-Satellite

IIRC The MKIV has a Master mono out FX send and a set of stereo return jacks. One of those returns goes directly to the MKIV's power amp. The other sends the signal to the Satellite Out jack which you should connect to the Satellite's FX return jack on its back panel. Then you have to adjust the...

I think it's all described in the MKIV's owner's manual.

    Celestion C-90 spec sheet?

Hi Does anybody know where I can find a spec sheet for the Mesa Celestion C-90 (12", 8 ohm) speaker?

    Triaxis battery life?

So, you need to remove the PCB board because it covers two of the 4 nuts/bolts that holds in place the metal box that covers the CPU and battery, right? Hmm. Well even if I mustered up the guts to take out the PCB board, I've already tried using some pliers to unscrew the two nuts that *are*...

    Triaxis battery life?

I bought my Triaxis in 1993. It's holding its program memory just fine, but I figure that the battery's got to be towards the end of its life. Anybody know what the life expectancy is supposed to be on these things? I saw in another thread here...

    Weird Triaxis FX loop problem

Those all sound like fine tests to do when the problem is actually happening. But, like I said, it happens occasionally, it's intermittent when it does happen, and it only seems to happen after my rack has been expoosed to below freezing temperatures for a few hours. And the weather up here is...

    Weird Triaxis FX loop problem

Thanks. But that's not it. My problem is, as I said, intermittent, and then it goes away and works fine. And it only happens in the winter. But since you brought it up. I've got 5 patches I use on the TA to cover most of the stuff I need to play on the gigs I do. My Clean bright patch (for...

    Weird Triaxis FX loop problem

Hi This is sort of hard to describe, but I'll try. I always have a volume pedal or sim in the FX loop of the Triaxis so that I can get the same amount of preamp-based overdrive at any volume. But sometimes my TA leaks some signal around the FX loop such that after lowering my volume pedal to 0...

    Programmable EQ with Triaxis?

Anybody using a programmable EQ with their TriAxis? I'm thinking about inserting a mono EQ of some sort (but it needs to be programmable) in the TA's FX loop, to help dial-in/out certain things that the TA's EQ and Dyn Voice can't do for me. Any faves? Suggestions? I've got a TC G-Major in...

    EVM-12L lore

Has there ever been any talk that EVM-12L Series II speakers sounded any different than pre-Series II EVM-12L's? I know the power ratings at some point went from 200 watts up to 300 watts. But was there ever any buzz that the pre-Series II 12L's sounded better?

    triaxis record

If you're using the FX Loop you'll need to run the R and L outs of the effects into the R and L FX Returns on the Triaxis. If your effects only have mono out then you'll need a splitter cable, or just run 1 side of the Rec Outs. If you're not using the FX Loop then I don't know what could be wrong.

Weird comment about AC in the Triaxis manual.

Yeah, I know. It's weird, eh?

Weird comment about AC in the Triaxis manual.

"NOTE: The A.C. power for TriAxis should be derived from the same power strip as that of the power amp in use. Any effects units used should also be plugged into this same strip. This close proximity of A.C. power supply for units within a system will prevent TONE degradation. Failure to follow...

    Simul-Satellite

That switch turns the inner pair of power tubes off, leaving the outer pair on. In that amp, the outer pair of power tubes are biased differently than the inner pair and put out less power and clip sooner. Mesa calls this "Class A" operation, but it really isn't. (see below) The inner pair of...

V-Twin as clean preamp for jazz?

Yep, that'd get most jobs done. Thanks. It's unclear to me how you have the tuner hooked up. It looks like it's post effects. If so, you might try running the Valvulator's Output B into the tuner as a little side-chain, instead of the RV-2's output. That way you can adjust tuning even if your...

V-Twin as clean preamp for jazz?

Do you run your pedal into the Satellite's preamp input or into the FX Return on the back? I.e. Are you bypassing the Satellite's preamp and just using it as a pwer amp/speaker? I'm also curious as to why you need the Valvulator in your signal path if you're using the Tubeman as a preamp (i.e...

    Simul-Satellite

The Simul-Satellite dos not have a Triode/Pentode switch. the outer tube sockets are wired for Pentode/Class AB operation but they have a weird bias voltage that makes them behave somewhat like the Class A/Triode sockets on earlier Mesa Simul-Class amps (like the MKIIB, MKIIC, and early...

    Simul-Satellite

I hope you're right about that because the original (minimal) materials that came with my Simul-Satellite said nothing about using 6V6's in that amp. But what you say makes sense though. And you mean that he needs to run 4 6V6's not just 2 in the outer sockets, right? And he should not use Full...

Possible mod to rhythm mode for darker jazz tone fr Triaxis?

 Look. I'm not "begging" for anything. Nor am I asking about most of the things you think I'm asking about. • "you only want a mod that modifies the compresion, the gain circuit and the response of the triaxis" • "Did you really want a mod to do all the things that you want to do???? ok...
