Okay so I called Mesa today, and told them the problem. They said the earlier model Mark IV B versions (1993-1994 and some 1995's) had this problem. And the rep said that I need a resistor or two replaced. They said it's a easy fix. I asked if it had anything to do with the tube(s), he said no...

I doubt it's a preamp tube. It only makes that horrible noise when I have it running Simul class and pentode at the same time. Other combinations it's fine. So it's more likely a Power Tube. Also last night I removed all the power tubes and saw one of them was missing the plastic center part...

The one power tube is just missing the middle plastic socket piece, that's all. The rest have it. But I checked the sockets and the plastic part wasn't even there. So this must mean it wasn't there in the first place. I have to call Mesa tomorrow and see what they say. This is frustrating. Just...

Hey guys! So I removed all the tubes out just now....and guess what I found??? The Mark IV I got had all 6L6's...and one of them the little plastic part of the power tube in the center of all the progs was broken off. And a little glass tip was showing... Could this possibly be the culprit...

See what the weird thing is, is that the pentode/triode switch works perfectly fine on the class A option with out that noise. And when I put it simul class/triode it's fine as well. just when I put it in simul class and pentode... I will switch the inner tubes with the outer ones. Hopefully I...

Hmm but it only when I run it in Simul Class and Pentode, not Class A Pentode/Class A Triode/Simul Class Triode. I'm not sure. How bout if I swap the inner tubes(6l6s) with the outer tubes(6l6s) and run it class A pentode and triode?

Yes, my power tubes are all 6L6's. I will try it later on when I get back from my lesson/work. I will keep a update with this. Hopefully it will help! Thanks Jordan/TenaciousJP
