    Adam Jones (Tool) Tone

Ive tried putting the 750Hz up a bit, but no further than just above the bottom line, I find the sound gets to boxey... especially since I have the Mid dial set close to 3pm which is more than enough. Boosting the 2200hz slider really makes this amp cut thru. You can look at the settings and...

    Adam Jones (Tool) Tone

This is my ch3 tone ive been using for the last year nearly on my Mark V head now thru both a marshall and a mesa quad after messing around the with the eq sliders one day I came across this setting and have been using it ever since, really cuts thru in a band situation. Kinda sounds similar to...

diffefent volume level between channel 1, 2, and 3

at least the clean channel is louder on the Mark V's unlike on the Rectifiers where you have to max it out on the master while channels 2 and 3 are at 10oclock.

    Just Purchased a Mark V

Today I finally decided to buy a Mark V after hearing clips and hearing one played live and what an awesome tone you get out of these things. Nice thick tight high gain in channel 3 with no fizz, warm overdrive in channel 2 and awesome cleans in channel 1. This amp is certainly more versatile...

Diamondplate faceplate came loose all by itself

I decided to paint my Dual Rectifier today after seeing this thread. I was always thinking of how cool the black faced rectos looked but always thought it would be to hard to take it off and get it back on again. However props to ibanezrocker720 for the hair dryer and a screw driver tip. I just...

How often should tubes be changed?

I know this is sort of a noob question but Ive been new to tube amps since last year after playing a solid state for 5yrs. My question is how often should you change change the tubes in them. I have had my 3ch Dual Rectifier for a year now and it was actually pre-owned for month before I...

    Acoustic Simulators

Ive got one the Boss AC3's and it sounds pretty gold when set to the "jumbo" setting. Just dont use these pedal with active pickups as the signal distorts fairly easily... Id probably choose the Boss over the Behringer as it as more settings and sounds more realistic...

Short buzzing noise when powering up Dual Rec 3 channel head

my dual rectifier makes the same "nggg" noise as someone mentioned above i guess its just noise the transformer makes when you turn the amp on...

    Dual Recto Tone Question

Hi there guys, I am new Mesa owner who recently purchased a Dual Rectifier Solo 3channel head with a Recto 4x12 Cab and have a few questions about tone... I have found the amp is great for obtaining a Adam Jones (Tool) style tone on channel three in modern with the gain set to 12 to 1 o'clock...
