    Having recently become the proud owner of a RoadKing combo, I noticed that two of my 6L6 power tubes have white writng on them and are marked STR430 and the othe two 6L6's have black writing and are marked STR440? Whats the difference and will it effect the tone of the amp? The two tubes...

    240 - 110V converters/transformers?

    Question for those in the know. I have just bought a Roadking combo from a US source. I assume (being a US spec Boogie), it will come 110V format, not switchable between 110V/240V? I therefore assume that I will need a stepdown transformer with a US socket for this amp. My question is, why...

    The sole reaeson I bought a roadking was because I play in a covers band and needed more than a Rectoverb + pedals to give me what i need. When the amp arrives....the pedals will follow. Andy

    Just a quick post to say hello to you all. Have just bought a Roadking combo so I'll drop in from time to time. This will be my first valve amp for 15 years and my first Boogie so I'll have questions and opinions aplenty no doubt. Andy.
