    Replacement Grills

They're both 17 x 13 1/8. The 13 1/8 is 1/16 more when you add the small layer of foam that creates a tight fit. So with the foam added, it's 13 3/16.

Cool. Add a lot of colors to that 335. Great rig!

Nice. What's the gray one in the middle?

Leprechaun Pedalboard. Yeah. It allows for a nice, compact design. I really like it. Thanks.

    Boogie Combo and Thiele Grilles

These grilles were used on my Boogie Mark IIB and it's matching Thiele cab. Both are in excellent condition. They each measure 17"x13 1/8" (the extra 1/8" is the foam ensures a tight fit). The Thiele grille has screws. The amp grille does not. The amp grille will fit any of the Mark Series...

I like a fairly compact board: > Mark Humphrey modded CS-3 (Atom Smasher) > XTS Preamp (Boost, OD, Distortion) > Catalinbread Semaphore Tremolo > Boss CE-2 > WET reverb > Strymon El Cap I'm powering it with a Pedal Power 2 Plus. The tc electronic preamp makes a world of difference. Doesn't...

    Replacement Grills

Hey. I've got two black replacement grills. One is for a Mark IIB combo (has the screws in it) and the other is for a Boogie Thiele (no screws). I'm planning on selling them but would like to know if they'll fit any of the other Mark Series amps? Also wondering how much to charge, if anyone...

    LP Makeover

Yep, yep, and thanks. That guitar would have been classified "insane relic" if I'd left it as is. Probably would've been worth a fortune, now. But it wouldn't have stayed in tune or played as well. And I'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding pickup. Maybe as good...but not better. These...

    LP Makeover

Hey. It's been awhile, but I'm still alive and kickin'! My first "real" electric was a '69 LP Gold Top. I got it very cheap because it was really, really beat up. But it played and sounded great and I was very poor...so I just got into it and had fun. The changes it's seen since I started...

    Telefunken 12AX7

Interesting. Maybe I should have the ones I've got tested.

    Telefunken 12AX7

My brother's a serious audiophile. I helped him pack for a big move over the weekend. I'd told him that the 12AX7 that powered the Lead Drive on my Mark IIB (a GrooveTube) had crapped out on me and I was using an NEC that I'd found at a garage sale, for the time being. He gave me two...

your favourite settings on MkII A B C

Someone posted this a while back. I've been having lots of fun with it on my Mark IIB (60/100w). Add a tweak here and there. I like to add the EQ for leads, sometimes. Set the first 3 sliders gradually up to the middle bar. 4th close to the top and 5th a notch below the 4th.

Question about Treble Shift on Mk IIB

I've had my IIB since 1980. The Treble pull definitely effects both lead and rhythm modes. The "automatic engagement" feature was added at the very end of the IIB production period and then taken to the max with the IIC and C+. For my tastes, I'm glad mine doesn't have that feature, as there are...

Mark IIB: Stock or FX loop mod?

I've been toying with the idea of getting this mod for a year or more. For me: Cons: 1. I'm very attached to the clean tones on my IIB. Very much so. 2. I've got some great dirt pedals. 3. Dial down the reverb and the effects loop works fine. 4. Using the Presence control, 5 band EQ...

Boogie MKIIB Rev Eq 60/100W head

Sorry to hear about the transformer. It's always a slap in the face when you take the time to explain a problem and are told to buzz off (that's a nice way of saying it). I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, though. So you like that Hagstrom? I've been considering a 335 for a while.

Boogie MKIIB Rev Eq 60/100W head

So this is a little off, but on topic, as we were discussing the Blues Jr, earlier: I've been really enjoying this amp. It's got a nice, big tone for such a small amp. But yesterday I was playing my Tele (G&L ASAT Classic) through it. I had it loud (3/4 on each of the volume controls). All was...

Boogie MKIIB Rev Eq 60/100W head

Yep...that's better. Nice comparison. 8) I'm still considering converting my combo to a head. Everyone says it's got drawbacks on stage in terms of directionality, though, so I haven't moved on it, yet. But I do like the way the bass tightens up with the closed back.

Boogie MKIIB Rev Eq 60/100W head

Nice amps and guitars, there. Very good of you to set up comparisons for us to check out. Thanks! There's a bit of a glitch on one of the lead tracks and the labeling's a bit off, but that's small stuff. I really enjoyed that. For my personal tastes, I'm more into the IIA and B on these clips...
