Thinking about converting my RA-100 combo to a head. The Electradyne combo fits right into the Lonestar head shell, what about the RA-100? I seem to remember the screws onto are in different spots than the ED and Lonestar. I get the feeling I'll be on the phone with someone giving dimensions.

Brought it to a local tech and he fixed it in a day. It was part of the mute circuit that shorted out. The amp has a mute circuit to prevent the pop when you switch channels. These 2 little devices shorted out. $120 to fix.

Still using Creambacks in the combo? I just grabbed a used Royal, it really wakes up at loud volumes and the V30’s to me sound ok but when I listen to clips when they’re directly compared I always think H75’s sound better.

Same problem with mine. I switch to channel one and nothing, but if I smack the strings I will get sound after a few seconds. No issues with channels 2 and 3.

There are days I love my Mark V and days I hate it. I have to admit I never had this love/hate relationship with my Mark IV, only R2 on the IV bugged me.
