Down Sizing - Triple Rec + 4x12 to Roadster combo + cab

So, it's that time in my life where I have to down size. Wife + Kids + house = I don't NEED a 7 foot tall tower of awesome. I currently own a Triple Rec, Boogie 4x12 Standard Slant, a Boogie 4x12 Straight oversized cab, Boogie 2x12 Recto cab and a Boogie 1x12 3/4 back (converted to closed back...

    Power for LED on footswitch

So I received my pedal. Works great to change channels, light and all. The problems come in when I connect it to the solo boost, which is where I want to use it. 2 problems. 1 - The polarity is backwards, but only on the solo. If I connect it to anything else, the light works the way it should...

1x12 - 3/4 open back or Recto and speaker options.

I assume you're talking about the 3/4 back cabs. Why are you going back? What about the sound don't you like?

1x12 - 3/4 open back or Recto and speaker options.

So, Craigslist has been good to me recently. I've acquired 2 - 1x12 Boogie cabs for stupid cheap. 3/4 open back wide body and a 1x12 Recto, not the mini but the big *** cube. My question is, if you hade these cabs, AND a V30 (60 watt), MC-90 (90 watt) and a EV12L (200 watt), what would you make...

    Power for LED on footswitch

Boogie sells their own pedal (http://mesa.stores.yahoo.net/fcrec.html) for switching. Is it safe to assume that there is power flowing through the cable to power the LED?

    Power for LED on footswitch

I'm in the market for a channel switch pedal but I have a question. I see pedals that need 9v power for the LED and others that don't. But, the pedal that came with my Triple Rec does not need a dedicated 9v power supply. Does anyone know if there is power going through the channel switch plugs...

Trs cable for FX loop and channel switcher

First off, I already used the search function and couldn't find anything in this. I have a Triple rec. My pedal board has stuff before the amp and in the loop (what they are is irrelevant) and I'm also using the amps pedal too so their are 4 cables total. Since I currently only use 2 channels...

Extra long pedal board cable (Triple Rec)

Way to unearth this post! I forgot I even asked it. What I ended up doing was I bought a long speaker cable. When there's a long distance between me and where I'd like to put my amp, I'll roll the cab where I want it then put my amp up front with me. There's always space on the side of the...

Mesa Boogie 1x12 Thiele vs Genz Benz G-Flez 2x12

I have 2 recto 4x12s that I use for band practice/live shows. (Only 1 live) I'm looking for a small 1x12 or 2x12 cab that I can jam with at home. It probably would help to say that my Triple Rec is staying at the practice space and I'll be using a Line 6 POD HD 500X and an Electro Harmonix...

Mesa Boogie 1x12 Thiele vs Genz Benz G-Flez 2x12

Yes. I know that already. Both of their technical specs are very accessible on the web. Looking for opinions on their sound in low to moderate volumes.

Mesa Boogie 1x12 Thiele vs Genz Benz G-Flez 2x12

    Correction. It's a Boogie 1x12 Wide-body Closed Back, not a Thiele

Mesa Boogie 1x12 Thiele vs Genz Benz G-Flez 2x12

So, like many of you, I'm looking to downsize my gear...sort of. I have 3 4x12s. Yes, I know. No need for all of that but that's besides the point. Anyways, I'm selling 1 of the 4x12s and looking to get either the Genz Benz of the Boogie Thiele. Anyone have any experience with these two cabs...

    Bad tubes? (Pre or Power)

Who did you order your tubes from?

    Bad tubes? (Pre or Power)

I practice with my band 3 times a week for about 2 hours each time. Amp is pretty cranked while we are playing too. Channel volume is always @ 50% and my output is between 20-25%. I have some old pre-amp tubes that I can transfer around. Hopefully that will be the problem. 5 new pre-amp tubes...

    Bad tubes? (Pre or Power)

So you're thinking pre-amp over power tubes?

    Bad tubes? (Pre or Power)

I should have said something earlier. I'm not using the Rectifier tubes.

    Bad tubes? (Pre or Power)

Been about 4 years since I've changed my tubes. Amp sounds fine in modern on channels 2 and 3 and pushed on channel 1. Every other mode gets its volume cut dramatically and sounds like crap. I know this is supposed to happen to a certain extent (the volume cut, not the crappy sound), but I have...

2 amps into 2 cabs in "stereo"

You misunderstood me. I own the full stack and he owns the combo. When we practice, we each use a half stack. He uses one of my 4x12s since it's easier to do than than have him buy a 4x12. When we play live, it's the same setup. What I'm talking about when I say people can only hear one of us is...

2 amps into 2 cabs in "stereo"

I love playing live. But sometimes the venues have pretty crappy PAs on stage and sometimes there isn't anything. That and when people are close to the stage, they only hear one of the guitars. We play a lot of harmonies so I'd like everyone to hear what we are both playing where ever they are...
