Want more gain 1994 dual rec

If you use a "respectable" OD, like a TS-9 or TS-808, it would be okay, but I'd go for hotter pickups first.

Stiletto's Slave Jack - Is Cable-direct Recording Viable?

If you're talking about "idea development", then the overall sound wouldn't be all the crucial until you are actually laying tracks. I use a cheap Korg modeler for my "idea development", but I would think that using the line out on a THD Hot plate would be better than using a slave out......But...

Noob ?:2 channel Recto vs 3 channel Recto

I was really interested in the Stilleto when it was first anounced, but after reading some of the posts on this message board and some of the reviews on Harmony Central, the Stilleto seems to be quite a letdown. Mesa hyped it up as their answer to "British Valve Amps" (I interpreted that to...

Noob ?:2 channel Recto vs 3 channel Recto

Hello folks, I apologize for what may appear to be a long noob post, but I'd like to hear from people who have either owned both or have lots of experience with playing through both the 2 channel & 3 channel Dual Rectifiers. I've been reading reviews on Harmony Central, & there seems to be some...

Why doesn't Guitar Center online sell Mesa amps ?

It's been my experience that Guitar Center salespeople are morons. I went to the one in Independence, MO and asked if I could see some preamp tubes. (for my MkIIb) The clerk/salesperson asked me "What make of amp is this for?" I told him, & he said "Oh, we don't carry Mesa/Boogie tubes..." I...

Why doesn't Guitar Center online sell Mesa amps ?

Actually, Musicians Friend(MF) does carry Mesa/Boogie, though they don't list them on their website & catologs due to manufacturer's restrictions. You have to call their 1-800 number & tell the rep that you want to purchase a Mesa/Boogie. You'll still have to pay list price, but you might have...
