Here's mine! L: '82 Mk IIb 60 watt, on top of a newer open-back Mesa C-90 loaded 1-12" cab (I think it might actually be an F-series cab) R: '85 Mk III "no-stripe" Simulclass on top of a Marshall 1960AV 4-12" cab w/ v30's

I run my Mk III Simul head through a Marshall 1960AV cab, I think it's a good combination. I like them better than the G12t-75 loaded cabs. I've thought about criss-crossing with a couple of C-90's someday, to see how that would sound...

The "I'm in a foreign country & I can't take this with me" spiel is a common scam on craigslist...

Anyone try one of these? I'm thinking about test driving one.

The Marshall 1960AV with the V30's might be worth checking out (I believe it's the same as the "Slash"cab). I run my Mk III through one, I like it....

There were alot of MIJ (or "Crafted in Japan") Fender's with the Fender name throughout the 80's & early to mid 90's. Then the yen started to rise against the dollar, & it wasn't making any sense to produce guitars in Japan, so thats when they started making Fneders in Mexico, where the peso is...

+1....I couldn't say it better myself! They are both really nice, well built guitars. But as far as which one is better, that can be very subjective. Whats good for one may not be good for the other. I say go down to a guitar shop that carries both brands. Play them both extensively...

Congrats! I think these heads are way underrated! Plus, they can do much more than just metal, they also have a pretty decent clean sound, & can cover everything in between.

On my Mk III, I use the eq to dial in the tone I desire on the lead channel, then set eq on "auto" which engages the eq only on the lead channel. That way, the eq is bypassed on the rhythm (clean) channels. While the cleans might not sound perfect, doing it that way, I find the tone acceptable...

Be patient. Scrape, save & cut back on other things. Sell some crap that you don't use or need. Temporarily take on an extra job if you must. Then go ahead, spend the extra $ and buy the amp that you really want in the first place. In the long run, you'll be better off, and you'll be much...

I would assume to mean that the circuit board itself was maybe outsourced to an outside vendor in Taiwan. Legally, you could have foreign made components & assemble it in the US & still put a "Made in the USA" label on your product, or visaversa...
