it's the switching. i have the reverb turned on but dialed out on all the channels. and i am using the mesa footswitch. was hoping there was a work around i was missing

So i've had my roadster head for several years now and never realy had a problem with the lag issues that so many have had. untill some of the newer songs i've been working on. were switching wuickly in and out of distorted/ clean parts. I leave the reverb on all the time but it's still lagging...

on all my channels but very noticably on the gains i'm getting what sounds like a white noise oscallating. everytime ive lost a tube in the past its shut down what ever amp i was playing. lol (go big or go home right.) so im not a 100% sure what a tube sounds like when it goes bad. thanks guys

well all the power and recto tubes are brand new i replaced when i got the amp. what preamps do you guys recomend? and yep ups strikes again!

cool. thanks for the advice i'll grab a preamp and see if i cant work it out. i do have a feeling that if it's a tube problem it's probably more than one. the was an incident with the head and shipping. alost all the other tubes (power and recto) were smashed

not yet. i just had to replace every other tube except the preamps. so i was trying to make sure it wasnt just the way the head was before i bought a new set. any recomendations?

how much hiss is normal with the trident in tite crunch mode? i'm used to my roadster which is dead silent. when i turn up the trident it almost sounds like an osscilating white noise in the background. thanks

personaly i dig my trident through an old randall cab loaded with jaguars. sounds really ballsy

stage 1

so after a slight problem with shipping. every tube destroyed.... got her all tubed up and set up.running through an old 80's randall with jaguars, and lemme say those jags really work with the stiletto. sounds so good.

are they all made in china? had to replace all my tubes in the trident... god **** ups. and the guy gave me all spax7 for the preamps. and i know some of the positions dont like russian tubes. just want to make sure these are in the right places. but if they are all chinese it dosent matter...

awesome! if you decide you really want the switch i could always get it and meet up with you. i'm in buffalo and always looking for an excuse to head up to toronto. plus my gf randomly sends me up for ketchup chips. lol
