Need diagnostic help with 3 ch. Rec.

I have a 3 channel rectifier and have a sudden problem with channel 3. I have had the amp for about 6 months and it has worked flawlessly until yesterday. The problem is, when I go to channel 3 the sound immediately cuts out and the amp start making a load frying type sound. It does not do this...

New triple rectifier (new to me) question.

I actually did, and could not find it any where on the visible parts of the chassis. I also have a .50 cal, and it was prominently written on the chassis. I did a google search, and searched here and there seems to be a lot of interest in a serial number repository, but no one has started one...

Question about tubes in my 3Ch rect.

I just got myself a 3CH triple rectifier. I noticed that 2 of the coke bottle 5U4G rectifier tubes are loose in their bases. I have a couple of questions. How loose is two loose? They seem to work OK. He also sent some extra tubes. BUT, the extra MESA 5U4G he sent are the coke bottle shape...

Hi everyone, first post and a question about my Boogie....

Can you post a Pic? You may be able to remove the amp from the cab and see if it was dated on the chassis. It is common for the builder to write the build date on the chassis with a marker. If you do this, be aware if you touch any of the electrical components you could be killed by...

    What happened to my boogie??

Just an update. I removed the amp from the enclosure so I could get a better look at the board and such. I could not find any obvious signs of any over heating on the board. The fuse was intact and was the correct SloBlo 2.5amp fuse. The smoke I saw was coming from the area of the reverb...

    What happened to my boogie??

Your right that it has (2) 6L6's... No it did not blow fuse, when it started fading out, I switched to standby, let it sit for about 5 minutes and then switched back on, and everything was back to norm... I am going to order a tube set, what is the recommended replacements?

    What happened to my boogie??

Hello all, I am the proud new owner of a boogie .50 cal +. Just got it yesterday and have a question. It looks practically brand new, so it was well cared for by the previous owner. He also sent a copy of the service record. The last inspection/overhaul was performed 12/2006. The amp sounds...
