How long have you had it? It took six months are so of repeatedly cranking my F-50 until it started to sound really good when turned up. Although different beasts, I would imagine most new amps need time for the speaker to break in and the tubes to really start singing.

Personally, the 1101 sounds much better than the rp floor series pedals. I don't know about what processor the 1101 uses compared to the rp series. I would just be interested in hearing the opinions of those who have tried both units. The price for the axefx suggests that it may deliver better...
