    Running 2 amps together....

I sounds huge! Problem is now when I just play one amp, it's not enough. I still need to dial in the drag - when you did this, how did you know where to place it? Did you just keep switching back to plugging straight into your amp? What is the significance of using headphones to do this? I...

Getting Brutal Metal Tones From Dual Rectifier

Now these are older Marshall cabs I'm talking about - but the band Turmoil used a Dual Rectifier into a Marshall cab on their "The Process Of" CD in 1999. IMO, that is an absolutely brutal and tight tone they have going on. They're a hardcore band, but old school metal influenced hardcore. I...

    Running 2 amps together....

All I can say is - wow. Now that I've been rocking dual amps, when I play just one, it sounds kind of whack! I'm really looking forward to getting my triaxis/2:90 back from mesa soon and trying that in the set up. I will DEFINITELY be trying the dual rec w/ the triaxis on the mark II c+ mode...

    conecting fifty/fifty to recto 4x12

Connect 4 ohm to 4 ohm. Let us know what you think of how it sounds? I always liked the way a recto cab sounded mono more so than stereo. Also, how are you liking that JMP-1 up against the rectifier? It looks like you may be searching for something that you're not getting out of your...

    Running 2 amps together....

I got the switchbone today, but I've only had less than an hour to mess with it. It sounds a lot fuller, but I have a lot of screwing around to do on the tones. The sound I use with the Marshall TSL 100 with the sound I use with the Dual Rec together sounds a little harsh together. I am...

Anyone using EL-34/6L6 combo in 2:90?

I spoke with Rich over at Mesa repair today and he stated that their techs are pretty much against doing a mod to run el34s in the 2:90. He said the techs said el34s run at a high current and "the transformers in the 2:90 wouldn't like it very much." Basically, I couldn't even get a quote out...

Anyone using EL-34/6L6 combo in 2:90?

I was just about to start a thread on this.... I have my 2:90 at mesa right now and I would like to run el-34s in it - do I need to have them do anything to it so I can do this? Any and all input is appreciated!

    Running 2 amps together....

Well, I ordered a Switchbone and I'm quite anxious to hear it. You know what though, that Headbone VT is the ultimate way to compare amp heads - there would be the exact same cab with no delay to put one amp on standby, switch the speaker cables, switch inputs, and take the second amp off...

How to buy or make a shorting jack for my B channel on amp

Hmmm.... I occasionally do the same thing with my 2:90/Triaxis set up. I'm interested to see what the answer is on this. I normally just keep the volume all the way down.

    Running 2 amps together....

With the Switchbone, I read a review on HC that said when using both amps together, there was a slight pulse in the audio because of the blinking LED. Have you noticed this or can you comment on it at all? I'm still torn on what to get here. I realize the rack stuff really has more options...

    Running 2 amps together....

Wow... thanks a ton for this ultra complete reply. I'm going to look into each of them. I'd be using it to either: - run 2 of my 3 amp setups together: Marshall TSL 100, Dual Rec, and/or Triaxis; in this case I'd be running into 2 separate cabs - or I could switch between heads into the same...

    Running 2 amps together....

Is there an A/B pedal or something that would work well for running 2 heads besides a Mesa High Gain Amp Switcher? I hear a lot of talk about signal loss in the A/B boxes... and with all the care and time that goes into splitting hairs over tone and such I would hate to lose signal.... any...

Old Triple Recs - when did they start making them?

I'm not sure if I've ever seen one with the attached power cord and/or small logo.... I'm not sure when they switched those.

Old Triple Recs - when did they start making them?

I am on a patient quest for as old of a Triple as I can find. When did they start making them? Does the pre-500 idea apply to the triple as well? Does the Triple have a separate serial numbering series than the Dual, or are the included in the same serial number line? Meaning... can 899 be a...

    '92 Black/Chrome Dual Rectifier Serial R-0109

.... I feel sick that I was the 2nd highest bidder on that and it fell apart. A day later or so I picked up a black on black 93 model... but I know at some point I'm still going to want an older model.

    High Gain Amp Switcher!!!

Why are these so **** expensive? Are there any alternatives for splitting my signal and not getting any signal loss? I used to have one of these, then I sold it like a dolt.... There is a ton of stuff out there in pedal form, but does any of it do a decent job preserving the strength of your...

    '92 Black/Chrome Dual Rectifier Serial R-0109

That sucks. I was the other bidder on that amp - the winning bid was $10 more than my highest bid. Just the other day I picked up a recto that was in the 1500 area for $900, otherwise I'd be all about it. ****......

Is your triaxis set up noisy?

My triaxis and 2:90 set up seems like it's abnormally noisy. Even when I have the volume off on my guitar it's loud. I have to change channels to not have an annoying hum in the background to talk to the band in between songs. I called mesa and they said it shouldn't really be louder than...

Out of curiosity, what do those numbers tell you about that head?
