I think it should, the guy that had that exact problem had a simple explanation, see if you can find it with the search.

    Lonestar problem for xmas

This happened to someone else here a few months back, I think it was a preamp tube. It seems to me it was a easy catch and fix. Maybe the victim will chime in.

Got my roadster cab last week-impressions.

I think it is the size, but it's about 10 lbs. lighter. The roadster combo with 2X12 is extemely heavy!

Got my roadster cab last week-impressions.

IMHO it matches the combo, if you can find one of those to listen to. The combo happens to be closed back and close to the dimensions. I could see the point made that the recto is better for some modern, heavy gain type music, that's not me.

    FX LOOP question

No it means NO POD WITH A BOOGIE AT ALL !!!    That's my opinion too, kind of like mixing Coca cola with a great bourbon. If you can get your money back, there are better effect methods with a Boogie or just use the pod in front if you insist.

    New Rig in the works

I can't believe you can't get what you want out of a RK (or Roadster for that matter). The Ace is a great amp, I would love to have one, since I have the Roadster, for the "other tube" sound. Right now, I'm having my honeymoon with the Roadster and I play old classic rock, how's that for...

Got my roadster cab last week-impressions.

I purchased a roadster head a couple of months ago and took home a recto 2X12 cab because the shop didn't have a roadster cab. On the advise of a coupla guys here I went back and ordered a roadster 2X12. I'm glad I listened. Let's forget the fact that it's 10 lbs. lighter than the recto cab, I...

    Roadster tuner out

Anybody had a problem with this feature on the Roadster? I'm running it to a Boss TU tuner. It never was as solid as going straight to the tuner, but now for some reason it's not sending a signal to the tuner. BTW, the fx loop is on.

Answer to Why Rectifier has different tone w/Loop On

This leads back to a recent post I made. I completely understand what Mesa has done, given me the chance to have better tone without the loop. What I did was make the decision as to which was more important-the better tone of the amp or the loop's added features. 8)

I had no Idea it would show, Roadster is HERE!

Yeah, you know you're it's first! 8) Congrats!

Which sucks tone more, effects in front or fx loop?

Thanks guys for your posts. I realize when I play out the difference between the loop on and off is not really noticeable. Like a lot of people, I don't play out often enough and spend a lot of time being a "bedroom rock star". This thing about the loop wasn't really about where they sound...

Which sucks tone more, effects in front or fx loop?

I can compensate for any volume drop with the level control knob, it's not so much volume, it seems the effects and tone of the amp are changed.

Which sucks tone more, effects in front or fx loop?

I believe this, now. I've never had rack effects, I've been thinking about the T C Electronics G's and the Rocktron xpression. I'm not sure if I want the switch in the on position.

Which sucks tone more, effects in front or fx loop?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm asking if the fx loop itself is worth the sound drop. There's a considerable difference when it is switched to the on position. Is it worth the solo, tuner out and effects enhancement?

Which sucks tone more, effects in front or fx loop?

I've been sitting here jacking with the loop on my Roadster. I'm not sure, but it seems to me when I turn the loop on, no effects, it changes the overall tone more than than the effects just put in front. I have a tu-2 tuner, barber tone press, barber direct drive, boss chorus, dd6 delay. The...

New Lonestar Special & RK II Owner - Need Help!!!

I traded my LSS in coupla weeks ago, not because of problems/sound, I just fell in love with Roadster head/cab. One of the surprises I got, when I traded back with my shop-I got the best trade in I've ever gotten with an amp. I love Mesas!

Roadster 2x12 Combo, revereb doesn't work

:?: I didn't have any reverb problems like you described. The reverb doesn't sound as strong with high gain settings, but I'm assuming you know that. You try without the footswitch?
