    Rolling Volume Issue

domct203, first of all, thanks for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated. I'm a little confused however. You say "The current Mesa 12AX7 is indeed a JJ, and are fine in those positions" yet I'm still having this issue. The two tubes I recently purchased are Chinese made Groove Tubes...

    Rolling Volume Issue

Yes. It modulates from very faint to normal. All channels. I read this in the FAQ section and went after V3 & V4. Didn't work.

    Rolling Volume Issue

Read the FAQ regarding this rolling volume issue. It specifically talks about Russian vs China tubes. That's why.

    Rolling Volume Issue

I just returned from Guitar Center where I purchased two Groove Tubes, made in China. So far, the problem appears to have been solved.

    Rolling Volume Issue

I've got a very new Roadster Combo that's already fallen victim to the rolling volume issue. I read the FAQ and it looks like I should replace V3 and V4. It looks like the preamp tubes are Mesa branded JJ Electronics. Russian? The question is, will installing only two preamp tubes have any...

    New Tubes in Roadster

I struggled with this a little myself. The amp will give you all the tones you need, but you're gonna have to fiddle with it a bit. Try running a Phase 90 out front on minimum sweep. See what you think of that.

    Roadster Issue

Started with V2. Problem solved! Odd the tube map isn't in the owners manual, it on a placard inside the amp. Also, you have to remove two power tubes to get your fat hand inside. Thanks for the tip BTW!

    Roadster Issue

I recently purchased a Roadster Combo. The amp has suddenly developed a loud humming from the 1st and 2nd channels. Oddly enough the problem is nonexistent in channels 3 and 4. When I turn the reverb down or off? The hum vanishes. Any idea what's happening here? Why only the two channels...

    Hi All, Warning; nOOb Here

Thanks. This is my first Mesa. While it sounds great at lower volumes, it really doesn't start to sing until the paint is melting off the walls does it?

    Hi All, Warning; nOOb Here

Hello all. Just purchased my first Boogie Roadster after owning a couple Marshall's, Fenders, a 5150, and a Line 6. I quick whipped up a diagram of my setup. Yes, I RTFM  , and I don't QUITE understand how the effects loop functions. Can someone explain the mini-toggle on the back of...
