There are a lot of differences between the two amps. You are going to have to move more knobs around to try and find something similar. The way the eq stages work on the LS must be considerably different than on the Expresses. So... There must be more adjustments necessary than a counter knob...

The LS is a much better amp all around than the Expresses. Head or Combo. I converted my Lonestar Combo into a head... And I'm happy I did. If only somebody would put a 2x12 LS cab up for sale now!

A quick note: I find the Expresses to be a bit noisy and hissy. The LS is nice and quiet.

Hey Plan-X. I've had a DS-1 sitting around for over a year. A friend of mine gave it to me. I've kept it in hopes of trying out one of the Monte mods on it. Hopefully I'll get to it soon. -D
