!! Check out the new Toy @ Mesa Boogie!!

Who knows maybe there will be a sig JH-2C ;) now THAT would be a surprise. The question pop'd into my head of whether or not this amp would find its way into JH's rig (I know his live Rig is now Axefx, but the sims have to come from somewhere) He did put up a new years post about finding the...

!! Check out the new Toy @ Mesa Boogie!!

I agree. 2c+ is legendary but not exactly full of features. It needed the modern touch. Here's some more photo's.

!! Check out the new Toy @ Mesa Boogie!!

I tend to agree. This is serious amp. No low power option for people to trick themselves into thinking 100watts is ok for bedroomers. Plus is had to be different enough from the V to not make it obsolete. I think this will be my next amp purchase. Not for many years, maybe I'll wait for a used...

!! Check out the new Toy @ Mesa Boogie!!

Yeah they are $2500US. That's gonna be a few dollhairs in oz. 5k minimum prob 6... Global output missing is interesting. Definitely not designed to me a bedroom amp. This is a work horse through and through.

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Oh man tell me about it. I wanted a salt and pepper grill for my V:25 was going to be $350 Australian dollarydoos for the upgrade "handman in Petaluma california" so if every amp is put together by dedicated team one at a time or small batches. Surely picking up the cream and black grill cloth...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Exactly. Its an odd middle ground. As I said it wouldnt make sense to own a 35 and a 25, or a 35 and a V. A 45/50 6L6 version of the 35 would of slotted perfectly in the middle and have been another 10/10 from Mesa. I hope they listen and make a stripped down 6L6 V with 50 watts. I have the...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Yeah smaller and lighter. 35 head is 27lbs so 10lb/5kgs lighter. Which is quite alot in fact 39% lighter almost half. Its also 1 1/8" (2.85cm 13.5%) Shorter, 4 7/8" (12.4cm 25.8%) thinner and 2 1/8" (5.4cm 13%) narrower. Thats considerable. If you ignore the size the 35 does to the 25 what the...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Yep losing money on gear is rough. I saved up all my pennies while finishing University to buy myself a graduation present. Cost $2500 Aussie Dollarydoo's not sure how much id get for it now but lets say best case scenario is $2000 I bet the 35 will be $3000 street in Australia. Not worth $1000...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Yeah a we all guessed a 25 combo was a sure thing. Wouldnt be surprised if it was announced a few months after the release of the 35. Or even next week lol. Yeah the V:25 was a home run and still gets flack for the el84's the 35 is gonna get roasted even if its amazing. I am kinda surprised...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

I like that its not a fully featured mark. I am curious to hear some experts opinions on it compared to the 25 with the bigger transformer and dyna watt power. Especially at home playing volumes. Either way I cant imagine any existing 25 owners upgrading, but I could imagine V owners down...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Guys check this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9GJaQS0xG0 Boogie Quote. "The Mark Five: 35 represents the next step in Mark Series Tone as well as the addition of mini-Mark TONE in a 1x12 Boogie combo format! Mesa’s time-proven four EL-84 based Dyna-Watt power section delivers 100%...

    Does anyone use Extreme?

I have a Mini. I spend most of my time in Mark iv mode. But i do like to switch between iic+ and Extreme. I generally prefer the more modern tone you get from the IV, especially using my 84' Explorer. The older lower powered pickups need a little help getting a modern heavy tone. But With my...

    Mark Five:50

Just a thought, maybe a little rack setup with the V:25 could be cool. Pull the chassis. Get some steel, make a rack mount. Get rack and small power amp... Profit? Of course you lose that all in one package you get with a head. But the V:25 chassis would only take 1 side up right? have a...

    Mark V 25 Output/Power Transformer

Probably depends on the country. But if you were really concerned about how much money Mesa's cost. Buy Used. More often then not the price you pay used will hold for the foreseeable future. So you can sell and get all your money back. But one thing in the used market is that NO ONE wants a...

    Mark Five:50

I am a big fan of the short head look of the earlier marks vs the long head. Having a Mark V short head with less power and channel options would be kinda cool. I find the full sized V intimating for my skill level and basic tone needs. Not to mention price. That said I feel like it if they...

Yet another 'Cab' Thread. Different (maybe)

I dont think so. The wide body 1x12 is the same width as the vert. So you can have a little stack that way? Or I am pretty sure to can order the horizontal with the mesa badge, handle and feet to suit vertical use.

Yet another 'Cab' Thread. Different (maybe)

That helps alot actually bro. Unfortunately for me my boot has a very inconvenient sub box. and a LPG tank in the boot. I have a corner sub box which I have been meaning to install to get some space back. But heres a pic to show you what i am dealing with. All that crap isnt there now(old...

    Combo to head conversion

Looks like that metal plate is just a sheet of metal with 4 mounting holes in each corner. You could make something like that for a few dollars. If you have the tools mind you. Maybe someone with a Mark V could be kind enough to take some measurements for you. Surely there are some detailed DIY...
