    50/50 Poweramp

I'll be replacing the tubes pretty soon anyway. £50 for a quad set of JJ's is pretty reasonable so I'll probably go with them (or electro harmonix.) Wont be gigging with it in the immediate future since since I've still got a bunch of stuff I need to buy to complete my new rig. Reinstalling the...

    50/50 Poweramp

He's got different brands on each side, but they are matched pairs. I've asked him to package them individually and name them 1 - 4, left to right (back view) just to be safe.

    Why Stereo?

But there isn't a 2:95 (to my knowledge) therefore eliminating the confusion. I can just assume you mean 295!

    Why Stereo?

The two seem to get confused as being the same thing pretty regularly on these forums. 2:50 and 50/50 are different. The 50/50 has a low power setting and DOESNT have switchable biasing and runs on 6l6's. the 2:50 has switchable biasing (6l6's or EL34's) but I dont think it has the low power...

Aren't you talking about the 2:50? That definitely has switchable biasing. I'm pretty sure the 50/50 doesn't.

    50/50 Poweramp

Much appreciated. Know of any guides? videoguides? that demonstrate the changing of power tubes?

    Why Stereo?

    Doesnt the 50/50 use 6l6's?

    50/50 Poweramp

I'm the new owner of a Mesa 50/50 poweramp and the guy who's sending it to me has asked whether I'd like the valves to be removed for shipping, or whether I want them packaged still installed. Firstly, how easy are the valves to reinstall once I get it? Are there any guides? Secondly, what are...

Anyone using EL-34/6L6 combo in 2:90?

It looks badass anyway. On the other hand, I dont fancy carrying that to gigs.

Anyone using EL-34/6L6 combo in 2:90?

Haha 2:95 AND a quad! That's alotta rack space!

    2:90 too powerful?

I'd like to hear these clips. I'm considering going, TA - 20/20

    Another Quad question

That sounds **** good. That lead tone is to die for. I've done some looking around and it seems decent quad's are hard to come by. Keep up the good work dude!!

    Another Quad question

I'm new to these parts which might make you all less inclined to help me, but I was wondering if anyone has any decent quad samples? I'm currently considering a purchase.

Does anyone have any experience with Mesa 2-Fifty power amp?

Indeed: 50/50: 2:50 I'm not entirely sure what the differences between the 2 are. The 50/50 can switch to low power and the 2:50 cant? I'm assuming both are voiced with the TA? Maybe not the older 50/50's
