Anyone have an accurate schematic for the Lead Channel on a MK IV a circa 1990,, my am works great except for the lead channel took a total crap on me and its not a preamp tube issue.

Anyone ever changed one of the pots on the bottom row of a Mk IV like the LEad Gain or similar. Level of difficulty????

My Mark is almost about as early as they come a 90 and the effects loop works great with no issues at all 80's CE-2, 80's Boss Delay, Deja Vibe ,Sonic Maximizer all work fine

Just wondering if the the cane wicker used on the grills are 3/8 1/2 0r 3/4 inch?????

I tried the the El34's in Class A and they were great with the lead channel but couldn't get anything pleasing to me in the clean channel, the 6v6's give a warmer more well rounded sound, right now I'm using The Boogie 6v6's any one know of any brands that would work better maybe???

Thanks, that part I do know,( about simulcast and Tweed) I gigged with this set up on Fri. after gigging with it set up with 6l6's and EL34's two weeks ago and I must say I like it better with the 6v6's, overall tone to me is warmer, especially on the clean channel what some people i think...

Quick Question? Does the Mark IV Fan run all the time when the amp is on or does it go on only when the amp triggers it on and off when it needs it???

Hmmm... if my memory serves me right right from when I owned a DC5 myself which I also converted to a head from a combo any Mark iv series wide body head shell will also work for you. Mounting wholes and dimensions are the same, that's what I used

thanks, anyone know the difference between the Celestion 90 watter in my ext cab and the EV 90 watter in the combo cab, I like the sound from the Celestion better than The EV but everyone boasts about the Ev,, Sounds thinner ,tinnier,boxier, and lees bottom end to me???

Thanks for the advise, I actually went ahead and replaced the preamp tubes except for the Reverb tube as there was crackling and popping which did go away, also have some old matched Quad 6v6's that I know only had about 15 hours on them total as I used to use them in a Heartbreaker I used to...

Yea I placed a call to Boogie and had to leave a message with Serial # for info as from all the reading I've been doing on this Forum it appears apparent that it would be benificial to know exactly how early or late my Mark IV came out in order to make an informed decision on which tubes to use...
